Healthy Alaskans 2010

Attention: We are currently requesting feedback on Healthy Alaskans 2010 Volume II
Creating Healthy Communities: An Alaskan Talking Circle. Feel free to share your questions, concerns, criticisms, stories, and successes with us. Your participation will help us evaluate this alternative format as a planning tool. Please take a moment to fill out our short survey.

Healthy Alaskans 2010 will be used over the decade to track changes in health status of Alaskans and to serve as a point of reference for health policy development. Using the framework of the national Healthy People 2010 document, the third decennial set of health related goals and objectives for the nation, it will reflect Alaskan’s priorities and objectives for improving health status, modifying exposures to health risks, and strengthening health care services, environmental and occupational conditions. The goals and objectives set in this process will be the groundwork for further policy making and for further discussion of roles, responsibilities and strategies for improving health.
