State of Alaska
Alaska’s 15 boroughs, one municipality,
and 11 census areas have been grouped into 15 “health
profile areas” for purposes of organizing basic health
statistics at a sub-state level. Population, birth and
death statistics are presented for each area; survey data
and some rates have to be reported for larger geographic
areas to be valid.
