Nome

The Nome Census Area is on the south coast of the Seward Peninsula. Nome is the commercial hub for the region. Roads link Nome to the villages of Teller, Taylor, and Council. The 17 village settlements are populated primarily by Inupiat Eskimos practicing a subsistence lifestyle.
