Fairbanks - Denali

The Fairbanks Health Region consists of the Fairbanks North Star Borough and the Denali Borough south west of the city. Fairbanks is the second largest city in Alaska and serves as a hub for the northern half of the state. The Denali Borough is a sparsely populated area that includes the Denali National Park. The Alaska Highway links the major communities to Anchorage and to Canada and the Lower 48. The Native population of the region is primarily Athabaskan.
