Occupational Injury Prevention Program
The Occupational Injury Prevention Program monitors occupation-related
fatalities in Alaska. The program was established in 1992 and administers
the state-based Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation (FACE)
program under a cooperative agreement with National Institute for
Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The program collects detailed
information on selected incidents and disseminates prevention recommendations.
